Comprises depositions and other papers relating to a contracts case brought in Bengal, India by Bagdasar who had bought the Bark Messenger Bird believing it free of any encumbrances. The original owner, having discovered it docked in the United States under the new name of "Margaret Jane," seized it for recovery on the debt.
